About the role
- Implement various International Pursuits.
- Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Aspen InfoPlus.21 (IP.21) and AspenTech inmation platforms to ensure high availability, reliability, and seamless data flow.
- Monitor system health, performance, connectivity, historization, and namespace consistency across both platforms.
- Manage upgrades, patches, and platform lifecycle activities within controlled OT/IT environments.
- Configure and manage data acquisition from DCS, PLC, SCADA, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
- Set up and manage data connectors and interfaces such as OPC UA/DA, MQTT, REST APIs, Cim IO, and other industrial protocols.
- Ensure reliable, low-latency data ingestion pipelines for real-time and historical analysis.
- Oversee historian database management, including sizing, backups, archival policies, and restoration procedures for Aspen IP.21.
- Configure and manage inmation Historian components, including storage layers, retention strategies, and performance tuning.
- Maintain data integrity, continuity, and long-term accessibility across historian environments.
- Create and manage tags, units, queries, and custom logic in Aspen IP.21 using SQL-based applications and IP.21 APIs.
- Build and maintain inmation object models, including Agents, Items, Asset Structures, business logic modules, and namespace objects.
- Develop scripts or automation using Lua, SQL, or Python to support data transformation, contextualization, and validation across both platforms.
- Enable KPI calculation, event-based analytics, contextual modelling, and digital asset representations.
- Monitor historian data quality, system loads, and connector reliability.
- Analyze historical and real-time data using Aspen Process Explorer, Aspen SQLplus, and inmation visualization tools.
- Enable dashboards, trends, KPIs, and analytics through Power BI, Grafana, immation Studio, or other connected visualization layers.
- Design and automate operational reports: Production performance, Shift reports, Loss and downtime analysis, KPI dashboards.
- Provide L1/L2 support for Aspen IP.21 and inmation systems.
- Troubleshoot data issues, access rights, connector failures, and namespace/configuration problems.
- Train operators, engineers, and business stakeholders on system usage, best practices, and analytical tools.
- Manage role-based access control, certificates, secure communication, and firewall requirements.
- Maintain data governance standards, audit trails, and compliance with OT cybersecurity guidelines.
- Ensure adherence to change control, backup policies, and documentation standards.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of architectures, configurations, data flows, scripting logic, namespaces, and integration topologies for both platforms.
- Work closely with the Proposal lead and Sales to understand the customer requirements and prepare the proposal accordingly.

- Implementation of EEEC IMS processes/documentation as & when required throughout the project.
- Adopts to World Area quality requirements and Customer’s regulatory guidelines.
- Practices and promotes First time right approach.
- Strictly follows GDP (Good Documentation Practices).
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on experience implementing, supporting, or administering Aspen IP.21.
- 2+ years of experience working with AspenTech inmation (Industrial DataOps / Unified Namespace platform).
- Strong knowledge of: Aspen IP.21 Administrator, Definition Editor, Aspen Process Explorer, Aspen SQLplus, Cim IO interfaces.
- Proficiency with key AspenTech inmation modules: Core Namespace & Studio, Connectors (OPC UA/DA, MQTT, REST, JDBC), Agents, Scripts, and Model Objects, Historian Engine & Storage Layers, Information Modelling / Asset Structures.
- Good understanding of Unified Namespace (UNS) principles, industrial data contextualization, and real-time data orchestration.
- Strong SQL skills: PL/SQL, MS SQL, SSRS.
- Experience with Lua scripting, Python, or equivalent automation experience.
- Understanding of data governance, historian performance tuning, and large-scale data architecture.
- Exposure to DCS/PLC or control systems and basic understanding of control loops, interlocks, and safety systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data tools (Excel, Python, or similar) for analysis and reporting.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional, multi-site teams.
