About the role
- Identifies and pursues new business opportunities
- Develops relationships with prospective clients to gain or expand new business.
- Attends trades shows, conferences and meetings to promote services to potential clients.
- Works collaboratively with internal departments such as EMCOR offices, Account Management, Solutions & Pricing, Operations and other areas to complete a request for proposal.
- Promotes a positive safety culture by fully complying with all safety policies and procedures, and applicable federal, states and local regulations.
- Any other duties as requested by management.
Requirements
- BS/BA degree in business, marketing, related field or equivalent in education and work experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B sales including strategic selling experience.
- HVAC (local or national) experience preferred.
- Experience in similar industry to be considered.
- Experience with Dynamics, Microsoft Suite (Excel, Project, Word, and PowerPoint), and Virtual Tools.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills with strong business-related knowledge.
- Highly self-motivated and ambitious in achieving goals. Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to execute projects on time and on budget.
- Strong negotiation skills for pricing, scope of work and other client specifications.
- Ability to thrive in competitive market.
- Focuses on the achievement of objectives and standards; Strives to improve or meet a standard of excellence.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn from feedback and experience and changes behavior as a result.
- Willing and able to travel 60% or more.
