About the role
- Plan, write, edit, and publish high-quality content for digital channels including websites, email, blogs, social media, and integrated marketing campaigns
- Manage day-to-day social media content execution, including content planning, publishing, optimization, and performance tracking across priority platforms
- Maintain and update content and social calendars to align with product launches, seasonal moments, PR initiatives, and marketing strategies
- Optimize content for SEO and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), ensuring content is structured to perform in traditional search as well as AI-powered and conversational search experiences (e.g., featured snippets, FAQs, generative search results)
- Conduct content audits and ensure consistency in brand voice, tone, and messaging across all channels
- Repurpose and adapt content into multiple formats (e.g., blog to social posts, PR coverage to web and social content, long-form to short-form assets)
- Use analytics and platform insights to track content and social performance, identify trends, and recommend optimizations
- Support content strategy development and ideation based on data, audience insights, and emerging industry trends
- Act as a liaison with the PR agency, supporting content coordination by:
- Providing briefs, background materials, and brand context
- Reviewing press materials for accuracy and brand alignment
- Amplifying earned media across owned channels (web, email, social)
- Collaborate with designers, internal stakeholders, and external writers or vendors as needed
- Stay up to date on content, social, SEO/AEO, and PR best practices, platform changes, and competitor activity
- Ensure all content meets editorial standards, accuracy, compliance, and accessibility guidelines
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in content writing, editing, social media, or digital marketing
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Experience managing or supporting brand social media channels in a professional environment
- Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals and growing familiarity with AEO and AI-influenced search behaviour
- Proficiency with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, HubSpot, or similar)
- Experience using analytics tools such as Google Analytics, social platform insights, SEMrush, or similar
- Ability to tailor content for different channels, audiences, and stages of the customer journey
- Experience working within brand guidelines and collaborating with creative and marketing teams
- Comfort coordinating with external partners such as PR agencies or freelance contributors
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is considered an asset
- University degree or diploma in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A proactive self-starter with curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for continuous learning
