About the role
- Lead sales and business development across the UAE and surrounding Middle East markets for phosphonates and related product categories
- Drive and develop regional sales of phosphonates and related product categories across the Middle East
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and strategic partners
- Lead negotiations and manage customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer insights to refine sales strategy
- Work cross-functionally with internal marketing, product, and technical teams to align business goals
- Consistently achieve and exceed annual sales targets while maintaining a healthy opportunity pipeline
- Individual contributor reporting directly to the Head of Business Development (India)
- Travel and accommodation for official purposes will be covered
Requirements
- 8–15 Years experience required
- Minimum 7+ years of sales and business development experience in specialty chemicals
- Focus on new business acquisition (hunting role)
- Hands-on experience with Phosphonates
- Hands-on experience with Biodegradable Chelating Agents
- Hands-on experience with MBT Biocides
- Hands-on experience with Polymers
- Hands-on experience with Questoll Detergent Additives
- Hands-on experience with Acetyl Chloride
- Proven ability to plan, negotiate, and manage international customer relationships
- Deep understanding of Middle Eastern market ecosystems, value chains, and buyer behaviour
- Established customer networks and distributor linkages within the region
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering (BSc/BTech Chemical or equivalent)
- Citizenship / Work Permit: Prefer UAE nationals or candidates with valid work/residency permits
- Nice-to-Have: Prior sales experience in the Water Treatment Chemicals segment
- USD 60,000 – 75,000 per annum (+25% variable)
- Remote (Work-from-home office)
- Travel and accommodation for official purposes will be covered
