About the role

  • Responsibility for a complete sales area of the Elmer Group, consisting of five branches
  • Lead the sales team to achieve company targets
  • Plan, control and implement all sales activities
  • Direct reporting line to executive management
  • Coach employees to support their development
  • Market and competitor analysis
  • Manage selected key accounts and lead negotiations
  • Acquire new customers and new target groups
  • Organize and support supplier visits
  • Personnel deployment planning and conduct personnel and development discussions

Requirements

  • Successfully completed degree, e.g. in Business Administration, with relevant professional experience; or a completed commercial apprenticeship with substantial relevant work experience
  • Strong overall commercial/business acumen
  • (Initial) leadership experience
  • Professional experience in strategic sales in the trade sector, ideally in wholesale/three-tier distribution
  • Technical affinity and willingness to learn the specific requirements of the building services (SHK) sector
  • Ideally you already have a network in the SHK industry
  • Strong negotiation skills, communication and presentation skills, assertiveness and personal resilience are essential
  • Unquestionable team spirit and flexibility for the interface function with various departments and business partners
  • Excellent German skills (business fluent in spoken and written)
  • Very good Excel skills and proficiency in common MS Office applications
  • Ideally experience with SAP and Salesforce
