Attorney

• Work under the direction of the Waiver Services Senior Attorney to develop and implement legal strategies to overcome grounds of inadmissibility
• Work with clients across industries (technology, engineering, bioscience, and other emerging industries) to pursue permanent resident status
• Conduct in-depth conversations with clients to explain the waiver process and gather detailed supporting information and evidence
• Answer client questions about the waiver application process, timelines, and costs
• Prepare and file waiver applications (I-601, I-601A, I-612, etc.) with appropriate government offices in collaboration with Attorneys and Case Managers
• Prepare responses to Requests for Evidence issued by government agencies
• Research legal issues related to waiver applications and stay informed on immigration law developments
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Immigration Attorney – Waiver Services

Manager

• Support employers and their international employees in a variety of occupational categories and industries, in collaboration with Attorneys.
• Review and organize supporting documentation and information for use in case preparation.
• Draft immigration application forms and supporting letters for Attorney review and filing.
• Assist Attorneys in preparing responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs) issued by government agencies.
• Maintain accurate client information by logging case progression and documentation into the firm’s immigration case management system.
• Track and monitor the status of pending applications and provide updates to Attorneys and clients to ensure they remain informed of progress.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Immigration Case Manager, Green Card Services

• Part of a team of Attorneys and Case Managers helping clients navigate the US immigration system during a surge in green card filings.
• Work on employment-based immigration matters including I-140 Immigrant Petitions, I-485 Adjustment of Status applications, and Immigrant Visa Processing applications.
• Develop and implement legal strategies for employers and/or their international employees under direction of the practice team Director.
• Conduct in-depth conversations with clients to explain visa application processes and coordinate with clients to gather detailed supporting information and evidence.
• Answer client questions about application process steps, timelines and costs.
• Prepare and file green card related applications with the appropriate government offices, in collaboration with fellow Attorneys and Case Managers (paralegals).
• Prepare responses to Requests for Evidence (RFE) issued by government agencies.
• Research legal issues related to employment-based green card applications and stay informed on the latest immigration law developments.
• Correspond with other Attorneys and Case Managers within the firm to assist clients with needs that transcend practice groups.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Immigration Attorney - Green Card Services

• Work as a Hybrid Case Manager on High-Skilled Immigration team supporting attorneys and case managers
• Prepare legal briefs for EB-1A, EB-1B, EB-2 NIW, and O-1 visa matters
• Perform HCM-specific tasks: editing, packaging, completing forms, document review
• Substitute for Senior Case Managers and mentor new writers/case managers
• Participate in training and perform other duties as assigned
• All work must be performed within the United States

Case Manager

• Coordinate and track recruitment activities ensuring compliance with Department of Labor (DOL) regulations and capture required documentation for the recruitment file.
• Communicate with HR contacts, employers, and employees to gather job and candidate information and clarify recruitment logistics.
• Maintain accurate and timely case files and recordkeeping including prevailing wage requests, recruitment evidence, and correspondence with government agencies.
• Monitor case timelines and deadlines, proactively following up on pending items.
• Prepare PERM recruitment summary reports and matrices for attorney review.
• Respond to basic inquiries from employers/employees about process steps, status updates, and required documentation.
• Prepare drafts of PERM Labor Certification forms, including ETA 9089, for attorney review and signature.
• Organize documentation in response to DOL PERM audit requests for attorney review and submission.
• Draft, format, and assemble cover letters, exhibits, and supporting materials for PERM filings.
• Maintain case management system records and update status/notes for all ongoing PERM cases.
• Provide administrative support including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and ensuring document retention in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Immigration Case Manager, PERM

• Join Ellis Porter’s PERM Labor Certification team to guide employers and employees through the PERM process.
• Ensure compliance with Department of Labor (DOL) requirements while delivering clear, practical legal strategies.
• Conduct in-depth telephone conversations and meetings with employers and employees to explain the PERM process and gather detailed job information.
• Prepare PERM Labor Certification job profiles, develop recruitment strategies, and conduct prevailing wage research.
• Oversee preparation and submission of prevailing wage requests and Form ETA 9089 to the DOL; respond to DOL audit requests.
• Counsel employers on PERM recordkeeping requirements and manage Case Managers (paralegals).
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Work can be fully remote from any U.S. location, or in-person/hybrid in Troy, MI or Ann Arbor, MI (all work must be performed within the United States).
