About the role

  • Shape and execute medical and scientific strategy for Cardiometabolic Health (CMH)
  • Lead execution of the US Medical Affairs strategy for CMH
  • Provide medical input into evidence generation plans
  • Act as a patient advocate and medical expert across the patient journey
  • Lead high-quality scientific exchange with key experts and stakeholders
  • Plan and participate in advisory boards, investigator meetings, congresses, and scientific symposia
  • Build and maintain relationships with professional societies and scientific organizations
  • Support publication strategy and review of clinical data
  • Represent Medical Affairs at major scientific congresses
  • Define medical education priorities and support initiatives
  • Provide disease state and data training for teams
  • Serve as a strategic medical partner across functions
  • Provide medical oversight and review of clinical trial protocols
  • Lead, coach, and develop medical team members

Requirements

  • Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy
  • Must be board eligible or certified in appropriate specialty/subspecialty
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in customer facing roles within the US healthcare system
  • A minimum of 8 years in Medical Affairs, clinical research, or pharmaceutical development
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills (preferred)
  • Deep understanding of cardiometabolic diseases and clinical evidence (preferred)
  • Experience in obesity, diabetes, or cardiometabolic therapeutic areas (preferred)
  • Proven track record in publications, advisory boards, and scientific engagement (preferred)
  • Experience working in a complex, matrixed global organization (preferred)
