About the role
- Provide skilled physical therapy services in patients’ homes under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
- Follow individualized Plans of Care and communicate patient progress or changes promptly
- Support patients in improving mobility, balance, endurance, and overall function
- Instruct patients and caregivers on exercises, safety techniques, and adaptive equipment
- Document care accurately while adhering to state regulations and physician orders
- Perform hands-on, physical work including transfers and patient assistance
- Participate in flexible scheduling or occasional on-call needs as required
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Active PTA license in the state of Michigan
- Prior experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome
- Dependable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
- Comfortable traveling within the local service area
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including lifting and movement
