About the role
- Provides day-to-day leadership and operational oversight of the insurance team
- Review and process identified payor change requests; audit for accuracy and completeness
- Review and audit coverage changes via daily, weekly, and monthly report/programs
- Provide maintenance support for program needs
- Develops, implements and maintains departmental policies, procedures and workflows to ensure consistency and compliance
- Support internal and external audits related to insurance, authorization, and billing practices
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred
- Minimum five (5) years billing experience in an appropriate clinical care setting or home health environment preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Accounting practices or experience preferred
