Build and lead a team of Network Engineers for the operational health (Security, Availability, Performance, Interoperability and Reliability) of Micron’s data communications systems for the ID1 Expansion
Support the acquisition, installation, maintenance, and administration of Micron’s data and voice communications systems
Work with Micron’s Business Units to ensure solutions meet or exceed business requirements
Suggest, create, promote, and leverage published standards to minimize environment complexity and ensure regulatory and license compliance
Plan, design, and analyze costs of network (wired and wireless), voice, data, and video infrastructure for new/existing site construction or expansion
Determine site needs (bandwidth, network, etc.) and research new equipment based on needs and end of life
Optimize performance of new equipment and participate in project planning
Determine, recommend, and coordinate needed equipment and define timelines for vendors, service providers, and business units
Integrate existing network architecture into the ID1 expansion and coordinate removal of end-of-life equipment
Collaborate with global network teams and Micron IT Security team to integrate standards and guidelines
Provide operational support and maintain the existing worldwide network environment; respond to alarms, alerts, and notifications
Integrate and support new technology requiring network transport
Manage contractor support personnel and act as critical issue point for global operational network teams
Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and business units for upgrades; document processes and procedures; provide formal corporate communications on changes
Respond to customer inquiries regarding network performance and communicate with peer groups (enterprise architects, security team, server team, etc.)
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or related field, or 3-5 years of equivalent industry experience
3-5 years experience in any of the following: Wireless LAN Networks, Cisco and Arista network systems, business operations, network monitoring and management applications, IP address management, routing management, subnetting, and VLAN management
