About the role
- Own the long‑term strategy for optical interconnect across pluggable optics, onboard/near‑package optics, and co‑packaged optics
- Define system‑level architecture direction and guide tradeoffs in power, bandwidth density, latency, thermal design, reliability, and cost
- Lead technical engagements with hyperscalers and ecosystem partners, including architecture studies and system‑level prototypes
- Deliver competitive and market insights across lasers, silicon photonics, DSPs, optical switches, packaging, and manufacturing
- Support corporate development with technical due diligence, integration assessments, and investment recommendations
Requirements
- 12+ years in optical interconnects, high-speed networking, silicon photonics, or datacenter system architecture
- 5+ years leading cross-functional technical initiatives
- Expertise in optical interconnect system architecture, high-speed I/O, or AI/datacenter fabrics
- Proven experience working directly with hyperscale customers and ecosystem partners
- Strong communication skills for technical and executive-level discussions
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
