About the role
- Manage a team handling planning, analysis, and reporting of global consolidated standard cost, manufacturing variance, and other cost of sales (OCOS)
- Work with global finance departments such as Financial Planning & Analysis, Cost & Inventory Accounting, Front End Finance, Assembly and Test Finance, and Business Unit Finance
- Prepare forecasts every quarter, month, and week
- Report to Micron’s Vice President and communicate with executive management
- Explain cost trends and manufacturing variances
- Offer insights to optimize cost performance using knowledge of cost drivers
- Communicate insights effectively to executives and partners
- Analyze variance between actual COGS vs forecast
- Refresh standard cost based on planning cadence and help partners to understand the changes
- Plan manufacturing variance along with standard cost refresh for each planning cycle
- Capture and analyze actual manufacturing variance vs plan, partnering with accounting and manufacturing finance team
Requirements
- Bachelor and/or Master Degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field
- Deep and broad product-costing experience and knowledge of related processes and systems (including ERP-systems like SAP)
- At least 15 years of work experience in Finance, Accounting, Financial Controlling or related fields in the manufacturing industry (electronics manufacturing, semiconductors or other high-tech industries preferred)
- At least 10 years of leadership experience
