About the role
- Maintain and validate project data within financial systems to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support monthly revenue recognition processes in line with accounting policies and project milestones.
- Assist in the preparation and review of project performance reports, highlighting key variances and trends.
- Liaise with project managers to understand commercial terms and ensure correct financial treatment of project revenue and costs.
- Reconcile project-level financial data with general ledger entries and resolve discrepancies.
- Partner with the finance team during month-end close to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Support forecasting and budgeting activities relating to project revenues and margins.
- Assist with audit queries and compliance checks as needed.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Solid understanding of revenue recognition principles.
- Proficiency with Excel and financial systems (e.g.Certinia, Salesforce, SAP, NetSuite, or similar).
- Ability to communicate clearly with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Organised, self-motivated, and able to work independently to meet deadlines.
- 3+ years of finance or accounting experience, ideally in a project-based or revenue management environment.
- Actively working towards a recognised finance qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
