Effectual Salesforce Consultants are members of the Public Sector Program Management team responsible for ensuring customer-facing projects are delivered with exceptional customer satisfaction and technical excellence
Act as Brand Ambassador staying current on leading practices to deliver high-quality, well-conceived solutions to customers
Review current backlog and assess progress on in-flight user stories; engage stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure Salesforce solutions
Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and cloud service providers (including Salesforce and AWS) to deliver secure, compliant, and innovative solutions
Refine requirements, clarify functional expectations, and document acceptance criteria; craft user stories, draft initial wireframes, data models, and automation logic
Perform Salesforce configurations using declarative tools and assist with entry-level solution design; review design decisions with architects for alignment and scalability
Develop and execute Evergreen Smoke Tests and End-to-End testing; conduct functional testing of implemented configurations
Serve as intermediary between Solution Architect and Developer, translating high-level architectural guidance into actionable configuration tasks and flagging technical constraints
Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and review meetings to ensure alignment across delivery teams
Track configuration progress against story points and timelines to maintain project velocity and identify bottlenecks
Support documentation of configuration decisions and maintain traceability of changes to satisfy audit and compliance requirements in the public sector
Work to eliminate ambiguities in story definitions to help maintain momentum across sprints
Requirements
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in related discipline AND
Minimum Experience: 10 years including cloud professional certification OR
Substitution/Alternative to Minimum Education and Experience: Must have at least 10 years of on-the-job experience
Must be a US Citizen
5-10+ years of experience in Salesforce solution delivery, including configuration, consulting, and implementation across complex environments
Deep technical knowledge of the Salesforce platform, combined with the ability to understand government-specific needs and compliance requirements
Salesforce Administrator or Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator, Salesforce Platform App Builder, AWS Certified Solutions Architect or other relevant Salesforce and/or cloud certifications
Proven track record supporting public sector or government contracting clients, with a strong understanding of compliance frameworks and federal IT standards
Expert-level proficiency in Salesforce declarative tools, including Flows, Lightning App Builder, Validation Rules, Approval Processes, and custom metadata
Deep understanding of the agile software development lifecycle (SDLC), backlog management, sprint execution, and story lifecycle
Demonstrated ability to analyze and translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable Salesforce solutions
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to bridge business and technical teams
Strong understanding of cloud architecture and experience working with AWS in a solution engineering capacity
Experience coordinating and communicating with various stakeholders, including cloud vendors, system owners, and technical teams, to deliver successful cloud-based solutions
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Ability to work Eastern Standard Time Zone schedule
Nice-to-Have: Active Clearance or Public Trust (DOJ Preferred)
Nice-to-Have: Salesforce certifications: Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect
Nice-to-Have: Experience working with Salesforce Government Cloud (GovCloud) or other FedRAMP-compliant environments
Nice-to-Have: Familiarity with federal compliance standards such as FISMA, NIST 800-53, and ATO (Authority to Operate) processes
Nice-to-Have: Hands-on experience supporting large-scale Salesforce application migrations or legacy system modernizations within government agencies
Nice-to-Have: Exposure to DevSecOps tools and processes, including Jira, Copado, Git, or CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce
Nice-to-Have: Prior engagement with government clients such as DHS, VA, HHS, DoD, or state/local agencies
Nice-to-Have: Experience working within SAFe, Scrum, or hybrid agile delivery models in public sector programs
Nice-to-Have: Understanding of Section 508 compliance and accessible solution design best practices
