About the role
- Lead the development, implementation and ongoing review of credit policies and models, ensuring alignment with the company’s growth strategy.
- Monitor credit approvals and credit operations, ensuring adherence to policies, risk control and portfolio sustainability.
- Track area performance indicators, proposing adjustments and course corrections when necessary.
- Assess the impacts of changes to credit policies, models or strategies, performing analyses and forecasts to support decision-making.
- Serve as the organization’s primary technical authority on credit, influencing decisions that affect risk, growth and business profitability.
- Coordinate and integrate stakeholders across credit, operations and collections, ensuring alignment between strategy and execution.
- Participate in credit and operations committees, contributing analyses and strategic guidance.
- Lead the credit team, delegating responsibilities, monitoring performance and promoting the team’s technical and behavioral development.
- Contribute to the definition and evolution of products, processes and initiatives involving credit operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, Accounting or related fields.
- Experience in team leadership.
- Proven experience managing credit in banks, financial institutions, payment institutions and/or fintechs.
- Knowledge of corporate (business) credit products.
- Technical knowledge of financial operations in the payments and credit segment.
- Knowledge of credit policies, risk management and monitoring of portfolio performance indicators.
- Strong technical expertise in financial analysis, risk assessment and credit structuring.
- Solid experience with the full credit cycle (policies, scoring, origination/approval, monitoring and collections).
