About the role
- Oversee roll-out of EHR software solutions at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)
- Apply clinical knowledge during pre-deployment across multiple sites, providing operational insights
- Ensure workflow assessment and documentation align with clinical standards and organizational goals
- Serve as the clinical operations expert during Pre-deployment to document system workflow, support, patient care, and clinical practice
- Apply principles of computer and information science to advance healthcare, including clinical informatics
- Solve unusually complex problems with highly innovative solutions
- Mentor or supervise employees
- Travel up to 50% as required
Requirements
- Knowledge of the end-to-end deployment process for our VA clients in the EHR Modernization ( EHRM ) program
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Ability to evaluate and improve deployment processes
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical, functional, clinical, and programmatic, to ensure successful EHR implementations
- Ability to create and maintain detailed project plans and timelines
- Ability to identify project risks
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
- Master's degree and 5+ years of experience in healthcare or clinical operations, or 13+ years of experience in healthcare or clinical operations in lieu of a degree
- Experience with EHR (nice to have)
- Experience with VA (nice to have)
- Master's degree in Healthcare, Healthcare IT, Science, or another approved discipline (nice to have)
