About the role
- Ensure overall management of the dairy and biogas production units
- Team management and organization
- Ensure responsible production that complies with sanitary, regulatory and environmental requirements
Requirements
- Manage and organize the team (7 people)
- Organize daily work (schedules, priorities, business continuity)
- Lead the team: meetings, performance reviews, leave management, mentoring and training
- Ensure compliance with procedures, safety rules and the maintenance of authorizations and CACES (equipment operator certifications)
- Oversee production of approximately 8,000 liters of milk per day
- Monitor animal health and facilities (milking robots, tanks, etc.)
- Coordinate with external service providers (veterinarian, nutritionist, etc.)
- Supervise breeding and reproductive management
- Heat detection and insemination decision-making
- Selection of breeding stock (including choice of semen straws)
- Improve herd fertility and manage animal grouping/allotment
- Monitor daily operations (indicators, records, safety)
- Manage inputs and the unit’s feeding/nutrition
- Valorize biogas (cogeneration, grid injection)
- Oversee maintenance and servicing
- Maintain equipment and infrastructure
- Follow HACCP procedures and maintain overall site cleanliness
- Ensure equipment is in good condition (robots, tanks, DAL, fences, installations)
