Job Level

About the role

  • Lead the systems engineering activities across the full lifecycle of turbofan propulsion systems — from concept and architecture definition through integration, testing, certification, and service entry.
  • Establish and maintain the Systems Engineering framework (SEMP, requirements traceability, verification & validation plans) in compliance with standards defined.
  • Ensure full requirement traceability between customer specifications, regulatory constraints and subsystem technical requirements.
  • Drive the system architecture definition, functional decomposition, and interface management across propulsion subsystems.
  • Lead integration activities between the engine and aircraft platforms, coordinating with airframe, installation, and control system teams.
  • Oversee System Safety and RMST (Reliability, Maintainability, Supportability, Testability) analyses in collaboration with safety and reliability engineers, ensuring compliance with related standards.
  • Support certification activities by providing system-level compliance evidence, participating in design and certification reviews (PDR, CDR, …).
  • Coordinate with Product Engineering, Product Management and Manufacturing to ensure system integrity, technical consistency, and certifiability throughout development and production.
  • Manage the technical baseline and configuration control for the propulsion system, ensuring proper documentation and change management.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop the systems engineering team, promoting continuous improvement and alignment with company engineering standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in systems engineering within turbofan propulsion, aerospace, or other complex engineered systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in systems integration, requirement management, and certification for propulsion systems.
  • Strong background in model-based systems engineering (MBSE), configuration management, and PLM environments.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and interface with certification authorities and customers.
  • Experience with civil and/or military certification frameworks (EASA, FAA, EMAR) is highly desirable.
Benefits
  • Professional development
