About the role
- Actively participate on business decision making by providing financial insight based on data, especially related to Pricing, Budgeting, Risk Management, Cash Flow & Profitability Analysis.
- Act as an Ambassador of Strategy & Business Excellence in the entity by championing key initiatives that enable financial success.
- Lead BoD/ Cluster Monthly Financial Review by preparing high quality material aligned to entity business & strategy.
- Partner with Business Development to enable commercial success by reviewing proposals in terms of pricing, cost, profit & cash flow; provide input in terms of T&Cs impacting financials.
- Oversee the Budgeting, Planning & Forecasting cycle and maintain close communication & collaboration with Entity CEO, Cluster CFO & Entity Functional Leaders to ensure the plan reflects realistically the operational inputs.
- Monitor financial health of company's projects via regular reviews with PMO.
- Proactively assess and understand contractual financial impacts and recommend corrective actions.
- Oversee of month, quarter & year accounting close as per IFRS and Accounting Policy.
- Responsibility for Financial Audits (Internal & External) & controllership/ compliance advisory on applicable matters.
- Oversee cash flow reporting (Actuals & Estimate), including follow-up of aging collections with BD/ PMO toward solution of disputes and enable collection acceleration.
- Leverage Factoring (AR & AP); Set high standards and enforce accountability for the closing & accounting process as per Entity KPIs & SLAs.
- Review & approve accounting work, including Quarterly Notes Template, Audit preparation, cost allocation by WBS & account, etc.
- Review & approve cash applications, AR reporting, invoicing process.
- Drive compliance to Group Policy by holding team accountable, by enforcing PO usage, SAP module activation, timely GRN processing, proper documentation before invoice payment, etc.
- Review register to ensure accuracy & completeness toward enabling seamless Audit & government grant collection.
- Champion of KAIZENs to enhance process efficiency & minimize waste across Finance operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/ Accounting or related discipline (Master’s preferred)
- Around 10+ years in corporate and commercial finance, including at least 5 years in a managerial capacity
- Proven ability to operate at a strategic commercial finance level acting as a trusted advisor to cross functional leadership and delivering practical, value-accretive financial guidance to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate assertively and influence decision-making to resolve complex business challenges.
- Solid technical expertise in IFRS, GAAP, and management accounting, with the ability to apply accounting principles effectively in day-to-day commercial decisions while considering external stakeholder impact.
- Proven ability to identify and quantify key cost and value drivers based on customer requirements and operational considerations, enabling the development of optimal pricing models and financially sound business cases.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with SAP systems is highly desirable.
