About the role
- Optimize Manufacturing Processes – Develop and implement cost-effective, high-efficiency production methods.
- Enhance Product Quality – Monitor, test, and refine manufacturing processes to maintain exceptional quality standards.
- Equipment Oversight – Ensure machinery is properly maintained, repaired, and optimized for smooth operations.
- Data-Driven Improvements – Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and boost performance.
- Lead Projects – Manage continuous improvement initiatives in cost reduction, process efficiency, and product development.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work alongside design, procurement, and quality assurance teams to align manufacturing processes with company objectives.
- Ensure Compliance – Maintain adherence to industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
- Train & Mentor – Support and guide production staff on new processes and best practices.
Requirements
- Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Comfortable working on the shop floor and with hands-on problem solving
- Able to analyse process data and spot what needs improving
- Knowledge of lean or continuous improvement methods (formal or learned on the job)
- Good communicator – you can explain things simply without the jargon
