About the role
- Operate at the intersection of data engineering and analytics to deliver analytics-ready data assets
- Design scalable, robust, and reusable silver-layer models, standardized dimensional schemas, and curated gold-layer data marts
- Develop semantic layers and data catalogs to enable flexible dashboarding and self-service analytics
- Build and optimize Lakehouse silver/gold data pipelines and ensure seamless data flow
- Implement rigorous data validation, pipeline monitoring, data documentation, and lineage tracking
- Collaborate with engineering, domain experts, and cross-functional teams to define data requirements and manage schema changes
- Drive critical data initiatives, provide mentorship, and champion best practices to improve data maturity
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with designing scalable dimensional data models and managing multi-layer data architectures (Silver/Gold layers)
- Advanced SQL proficiency: write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex queries on large, disparate datasets
- Hands-on dbt and Cloud Warehouse experience
- Proven experience applying data quality, governance standards, lineage tracking, and security best practices
- Demonstrated capability to lead technical discussions and translate business requirements into technical deliverables
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills to engage cross-functional teams
- Excellent problem-solving skills with systematic analysis and implementation ability
- Proficiency in Python (preferred) with experience scripting data workflows, automation, and quality checks
- Knowledge of data visualization tools
- Experience in data engineering, warehousing, and modelling
- Comfortable engaging with non-technical stakeholders
