About the role
- Lead the product roadmap for all golf cart product lines, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer demand.
- Manage the full product lifecycle—from concept and development to launch and end-of-life planning.
- Identify market opportunities within the golf cart industry, analyze trends (fleet, consumer, lifted carts, performance upgrades), and recommend new product development initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and sales teams to define product positioning, features, and messaging specific to golf cart customers.
- Apply deep knowledge of lithium battery systems, charging profiles, BMS integration, and voltage requirements specific to golf carts (36V, 48V, 72V systems).
- Understand electric motor demands, controller compatibility, and performance modifications in golf cart applications.
- Conduct competitive benchmarking across golf cart batteries and accessory components.
- Monitor industry trends in golf cart customization, aftermarket upgrades, and emerging technologies.
- Partner with engineering to translate golf cart performance requirements into detailed product specifications.
- Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure product quality, safety, and production readiness for golf cart applications.
- Support sales teams with technical expertise for fleet customers, dealerships, distributors, and direct-to-consumer channels.
- Drive go-to-market strategy for golf cart products, including feature prioritization, pricing analysis, launch planning, and documentation.
- Gather post-launch feedback from dealers, fleet operators, and end users to refine product performance and reliability.
- Monitor warranty trends and field performance to inform continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience in product management, product development, or technical program management within the golf cart, EV, powersports, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of golf cart electrical systems, lithium battery integration, BMS functionality, and electric drive performance requirements.
- Ability to analyze technical data, interpret performance metrics, and develop data-driven business cases.
- Excellent communication, organization, and cross-functional leadership skills.
