About the role

  • Establishes, develops, and nurtures business relationships with current and prospective customers within assigned territory
  • Responsible for building dealer consignment, increasing buyer attendance, and hitting sales targets
  • Uses a relationship-based approach to assist customers through their auction needs
  • Completes vehicle condition reports at customers’ dealerships
  • Conducts walk-around inspections and takes multiple photos of each vehicle
  • Prepares support documentation related to vehicle condition
  • Field-based position; making local customer site visits
  • Overnight travel within assigned geographic territory may be required up to 5% of the time
  • Maintain current knowledge, and adhere to work instructions/procedures regarding inspections/documentation
  • Follow all applicable safety and health-related procedures

Requirements

  • 3+ years of progressive customer-focused/relationship-based sales experience
  • Previous auto auction experience, automotive body and mechanical work preferred
  • Minimum High School Diploma
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Basic PC skills
