💰 £45,636 - £57,937 per year

About the role

  • complete planned and reactive maintenance activities within plant rooms, including general plumbing, heating and HVAC works
  • carry out Energy Centre and Heat Substations plant monitoring
  • diagnose, repair and resolve mechanical and electrical faults across a range of systems
  • follow correct working processes and capture accurate visit information
  • ensure compliance with Health and Safety and PPE requirements
  • contribute to the achievement of team performance measures and KPIs
  • support continuous improvement in service delivery
  • provide maintenance support across the Southwest of England (SP, BS, BA and RG postcodes)
  • participate in on-call or out-of-hours support when necessary

Requirements

  • Mechanical/Electrical NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent)
  • proven experience in general plumbing, heating, mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Full UK Driving License
  • ability to innovate and appropriately challenge existing processes to improve efficiency
  • willingness to develop the site by looking for best practise and ways to improve the plant operational and commercial performance
  • strong understanding of risk assessments, procedures and safe working practices
  • comfortable using IT systems and computers to record and manage work activities
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to form effective working relationships with site and external staff at all levels
  • ability to prioritise effectively and consistently deliver against tight time constraints
  • domestic gas boiler experience with relevant gas safety registration (desirable)
  • HIU and DHN Experience (desirable)
