About the role

  • Provide technical and disciplinary leadership for the Business Development department
  • Take responsibility for the process and execution of projections, medium-term planning, the annual financial close and internal and external reporting
  • Ensure optimal management of commercial and infrastructure service providers
  • Design and monitor tools and parameters for performing profitability/economic viability calculations
  • Take responsibility for post-calculation (post‑project costing) of implemented sales and internal projects
  • Report to internal and external stakeholders, in particular E.ON Energy Infrastructure Solutions and Avacon AG
  • Coordinate Avacon Natur’s corporate strategy in alignment with E.ON Energy Infrastructure Solutions and Avacon AG
  • Participate in higher-level committees and project teams and assume time‑limited special assignments

Requirements

  • Degree (Diploma/Master’s) in Economics, Business Administration or Economics (Volkswirtschaftslehre) with a focus on Controlling, Finance and/or Accounting
  • Several years of professional experience in the energy sector
  • In‑depth understanding of business and economic interrelations, especially in the heating segment and in corporate operations
  • Proficient in financial reporting under HGB and IFRS with several years of experience in accounting
  • Knowledge of regulation in the heating sector, in particular experience with the AVBFernwärmeV
  • Experience selecting and identifying appropriate KPIs for corporate management
  • Proficient with standard software applications (e.g. CCH Tagetik, SAP CO and FI, and MS Office, especially Excel)
  • Excellent German language skills, written and spoken (minimum C1)
