About the role
- Define reference architectures, standards and SLAs for data platforms, pipelines, models and products.
- Design end-to-end data platform architectures (batch & streaming) that are secure, reliable and cost-efficient.
- Built-in RBAC, data classification, lineage, discoverability, privacy and compliance.
- Review designs, troubleshoot and provide architecture support to regional teams.
- Ensure data foundations (features, models, service patterns) support analytics/ML use cases relevant to the energy sector.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in data architecture for large or multiple teams.
- Degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent.
- Experience with modern cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric) on Azure or AWS.
- Familiarity with orchestration tools: ADF, Airflow, Databricks Workflows, Fabric Pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with streaming (events, CDC, messaging).
- Strong knowledge of enterprise data governance, privacy and security (RBAC, classification, encryption, policies).
- Effective communication across varying organizational maturity levels; fluent English (German is a plus).
