About the role
- Manage and oversee the investigation of claims
- Analyze and evaluate claim information
- Assess and interpret policy coverage
- Implement and manage litigation strategies
- Prepare comprehensive reports and recommendations
- Establish and manage claim reserves
- Maintain accurate time recording of claims activities
- Deliver exceptional client service while collaborating effectively with stakeholders
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff
Requirements
- University degree or college diploma
- Minimum of 5 years of liability claims experience
- Completion of the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation is preferred
- Ontario Insurance Adjuster’s Licence or equivalent from another Canadian province
- Demonstrated experience in commercial liability claims examining or adjusting
- Ability to work independently and assimilate technical and learning materials
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proven collaborative team player
- Excellent negotiation skills and judgment
- Strong client service orientation
- Highly effective time management and organizational skills
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
