About the role
- Manage a varied caseload of high value Defendant clinical negligence matters from inception to resolution
- Provide expert legal advice on clinical negligence claims, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating case documents
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategy and decision-making
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, and correspondence
- Liaise with clients, medical professionals, and experts to gather information and evidence
- Attend court hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations as required
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Healthcare Team to ensure high-quality service delivery
- Identify opportunities for Business Development with NHS Resolution and Trust clients
- Assist with Trust client care matters as required
Requirements
- NQ - 3 years PQE in Clinical Negligence cases is desirable
- Previous experience in NHS Resolution would be an add bonus
- Knowledge and experience in handling complex Defendant clinical negligence cases
- Previous experience in Group Litigation cases is preferrable
