About the role

  • Manage a varied caseload of high value Defendant clinical negligence matters from inception to resolution
  • Provide expert legal advice on clinical negligence claims, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating case documents
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategy and decision-making
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, and correspondence
  • Liaise with clients, medical professionals, and experts to gather information and evidence
  • Attend court hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations as required
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Healthcare Team to ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Identify opportunities for Business Development with NHS Resolution and Trust clients
  • Assist with Trust client care matters as required

Requirements

  • NQ - 3 years PQE in Clinical Negligence cases is desirable
  • Previous experience in NHS Resolution would be an add bonus
  • Knowledge and experience in handling complex Defendant clinical negligence cases
  • Previous experience in Group Litigation cases is preferrable
