About the role

  • Provide accounting and financial reporting and analysis to management and customers
  • Preparation and review of account reconciliations and analysis, and financial statement analysis
  • Maintain good working knowledge of accounting policies and impacts as required
  • Coordinate and lead in implementation of new accounting pronouncements
  • Prepare and review financial schedules and lead the review of data requests, internal and external reporting, and FERC filings
  • Prepare and present analysis of financial data for management reporting monthly, quarterly, and annually
  • Work with internal and external auditors, providing necessary information and answering questions as needed
  • Perform research of GAAP accounting issues and preparation of accounting position papers
  • Perform and support research of regulatory accounting issues including rate case support, new rate orders, modifications, and implementation

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with major in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other related degree
  • Five (5) plus years of increasingly diverse or complex experience in related field in addition to degree
  • Possesses and applies fundamental accounting and finance concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Experience with financial applications (i.e., PeopleSoft, OneStream, PowerPlan, etc.) and query tools (WebI, PowerBI, cubes)
  • Experience using Microsoft products such as Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Eight (8) plus years of increasingly diverse or complex experience in related field in addition to degree (preferred)
  • Master’s in Accounting or MBA (preferred)
  • CPA (or working towards a CPA), CIA, MBA, CFA or CMA is strongly encouraged for achieving the Lead Analyst or higher position (preferred)
