About the role
- Provide strategic Consulting support to assigned customer base, consisting of departments within the Power Grid Operations organization
- Responsible for providing HR guidance across several HR disciplines (e.g., compensation, employee relations, talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, policy implementation, employment law, change management)
- Provides independent consultation on complex issues; is knowledgeable of past internal practices and/or best external practices regarding HR-related business issues
- Analyzes and understands information and business objectives to make appropriate recommendations to leadership/assigned customers
- Provide strategic oversight and ownership for planning, coordination, monitoring, and developing recommendations for Power Grid Operations related issues or initiatives
- Maintain weekly and monthly data analysis reporting and trending to provide valuable data for management through established HR reports and established corporate metrics
- Manage and facilitate talent planning process to meet established milestones throughout the year
- Provide investigation support, as needed
- Completes non-routine HR projects with minimal oversight and has the ability to independently manage project schedules and interfaces
- Responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management within Power Grid Operations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- In addition to required degree, three (3) or more years related work experience
- In lieu of bachelor’s degree(s) AND three (3) or more years related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND seven (7) or more years related work experience
- Master’s degree in human resources or human resource management experience in Employee Relations
- Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification
- Five (5) or more years of HR functional experience
- Experience working as an HR Generalist
- Experience as an HR professional in a utility environment
- Working knowledge of employment/labor laws
