About the role
- Provides comprehensive environmental support to Customer Delivery and Transmission organizational sections in North Carolina
- Solves problems in environmental areas of specialization, with general supervision
- Serves as single-points-of-contact or coordinators to implement environmental activities
- Assists higher level teammates on monitoring the practices of assigned organizational areas
- Provides basic regulatory-required and internal environmental reports
- Supports company’s environmental and safety goals, strategies, programs and processes
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Science, Engineering, Health & Safety or other related degree
- In lieu of Bachelors degree, High School/GED and 4 years related work experience
- Minimum 3 years related work experience for EHS Consultant
- Knowledge of environmental regulatory compliance requirements
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with management
- Experience in negotiating with regulators at the state and/or federal level
- Experience in supporting EH&S compliance at multiple facilities/regions within multiple regulatory jurisdictions
