About the role
- Assist in the administration and coordination of technical activities of a scientific research laboratory
- Assist the Scientific/Research Laboratory Manager in managing research projects, budgets, schedules, and performance metrics
- Serve as an advisor to Research Associates, Lab Analysts, and Lab Technicians
- Evaluate and interpret experimental data and prepare comprehensive reports
- Collaborate with the Principal Investigator and Lab Manager to design research plans and interpret findings
- Perform scientific and administrative analysis supporting the R35 research program
- Collect and document data through observation, experimentation, and operation of laboratory instrumentation
- Manage day-to-day laboratory operations including ordering supplies and maintaining inventory levels
- Provide orientation, training, and supervision of research personnel
Requirements
- bachelor's degree in botany, biology, zoology, psychology, or other directly related scientific field
- five years of research experience
- Or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
