About the role
- Provide comprehensive administrative oversight across clinical, financial, HR, educational, and research-support functions
- Ensure smooth daily operations across multidisciplinary Spine, Physiatry, and Chiropractic divisions
- Collaborate to optimize workflows and enhance efficiency at all care sites
- Work with Duke Health Access Services to improve patient access
- Partner with Marketing & Communications to support growth initiatives
- Prepare and analyze operational and financial reports
- Lead financial oversight of fellowship programs
- Lead the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding process for new faculty
- Assess workforce needs and develop recruitment strategies
- Partner on annual faculty reviews, goal-setting, and strategic alignment
- Develop and manage divisional budgets
- Provide financial insights for leadership decision-making
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- Master’s degree may substitute years of experience
- Seven years of progressive administrative experience in healthcare
- Experience partnering with clinical operations teams to improve workflows, patient access, and provider scheduling models
- Prior involvement with patient access strategy, capacity optimization, or service expansion initiatives
- Familiarity with revenue cycle components (charges, billing, receipts, reconciliation, variance analysis)
- Demonstrated responsibility for large, multi‑fund budgets (operational, capital, payroll)
- Experience preparing or presenting financial or operational dashboards to senior leadership
