About the role

  • Provide comprehensive administrative oversight across clinical, financial, HR, educational, and research-support functions
  • Ensure smooth daily operations across multidisciplinary Spine, Physiatry, and Chiropractic divisions
  • Collaborate to optimize workflows and enhance efficiency at all care sites
  • Work with Duke Health Access Services to improve patient access
  • Partner with Marketing & Communications to support growth initiatives
  • Prepare and analyze operational and financial reports
  • Lead financial oversight of fellowship programs
  • Lead the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding process for new faculty
  • Assess workforce needs and develop recruitment strategies
  • Partner on annual faculty reviews, goal-setting, and strategic alignment
  • Develop and manage divisional budgets
  • Provide financial insights for leadership decision-making

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Master’s degree may substitute years of experience
  • Seven years of progressive administrative experience in healthcare
  • Experience partnering with clinical operations teams to improve workflows, patient access, and provider scheduling models
  • Prior involvement with patient access strategy, capacity optimization, or service expansion initiatives
  • Familiarity with revenue cycle components (charges, billing, receipts, reconciliation, variance analysis)
  • Demonstrated responsibility for large, multi‑fund budgets (operational, capital, payroll)
  • Experience preparing or presenting financial or operational dashboards to senior leadership
