About the role
- Plan and execute test scripts and plans for product upgrades to ensure successful signoff
- Execute manual and automated testing (Test Automation Center/Regression Runner), including integration and client regression testing
- Design and execute comprehensive test scripts and plans for upgrades and the upgrade standard pack
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools; collaborate with development and client teams to resolve and retest defects
- Contribute to creation and maintenance of automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage
- Assist developers in reproducing issues and identifying root cause of simple to medium defects
- Participate in certification process for Duck Creek products from sprint and system test perspectives
- Collaborate within an agile team on test strategy and execution
- Design and develop necessary test data, as well as manual and automated test scripts for upgrade deliverables
- Embrace continuous improvement by staying updated with testing tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Perform other duties as required and act in accordance with Duck Creek mission, vision, and core values
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science or related degree (or foreign equivalent)
- QA Skill Domain Experience: 1-2 Years
- Product/Industry Experience: 1-2 Years
- Software testing background preferred
- Awareness of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Property and Casualty Insurance Experience with Commercial Lines
- Ability to design and execute manual and automated test scripts
- Experience with Test Automation Center and Regression Runner
- Familiarity with Queries and xPath
- Experience identifying, documenting, and tracking defects using bug tracking tools
- Understanding of continuous delivery and continuous integration
- Ability to develop test data and perform integration and client regression testing
- Strong communication skills, self-starter, quick learner, problem-solving ability
