Works as a team member to provide Level 2 and Level 3 support, make recommendations, lead projects, and direct the development and/or research of security technologies.
Performs complex tasks related to area of technical responsibility, works on multiple assignments and projects, and leads/facilitates meetings and group discussions, presentations, and technical training classes.
Mentors and coaches less experienced IT Security Engineers and ITS personnel.
Provides leadership and technical direction on all aspects of security engineering.
Requirements
High School or GED and 8 years of network engineering experience inclusive of system administration (installing, configuring, and troubleshooting for access security/authentication technologies/infrastructures)
Associate degree in an applicable information technology discipline and 5 years of business unit-related experience inclusive of system administration (installing, configuring, and troubleshooting for access security/authentication technologies/infrastructures)
Preferred Bachelor's degree in an applicable information technology discipline
At least four years of testing in IT and OT environments, including Web Apps/APIs, Internal, external, network segmentation, Wireless Environments, Cloud / SaaS environments, Mobile IOS /Android, and Script & Code Analysis.
Experience testing for regulatory requirements (PCI -DSS).
Experience using Vulnerability and Exploit Concepts and frameworks such as Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE), Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS), MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP, and NIST SP 800-115
Experience working on a red or purple team (not required, but a plus)
Proficient in at least one programming language, such as Python, Ruby, Java, or C#
Experience with Technical writing, drafting testing reports, and presenting executive summaries
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience
