About the role

  • Responsible for maintaining data platforms that support data in motion, data governance, automation, self-service, and standardizing efficient patterns.
  • Collaborate closely with the DBA’s, DevOps Team, and Architecture to gain developer efficiency, improve data quality and increase stability.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in data engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field
  • Ability to establish cross-functional, collaborative relationships with technology partners, engineers and architecture
  • Strong engineering and data governance fundamentals; recognizes industry patterns and strategies with a focus on maintaining healthy, secure platforms
  • Expert at navigating product and engineering tradeoffs within the teams
  • Focused on driving what matters forward through deliberate influential action
  • Communicates clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Enjoys mentoring engineers and helping to remove roadblocks for them
  • Data driven strategy is at the root of their approach to problem solving
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, regardless of technology.
