About the role
- Operate and further develop the Software Asset Management (SAM) tool, and automate workflows and reports to increase efficiency
- Advise internal customers on software asset management and support license inventories and audits
- Analyze license usage and identify opportunities for cost savings and optimization
- Manage the SAP license portfolio, including ensuring proper metering, assigning licenses, and coordinating repurchase activities
- Advise SAP-using IT teams/products—especially on selecting the correct licensing, optimizing license costs and inventory, and defining requirements for new SAP contracts
- Support service managers in planning, administering, and billing license and maintenance fees
Requirements
- Completed a 2-year technical college qualification or at least a 3-year vocational apprenticeship, plus additional specialized training or equivalent qualifications acquired by other means
- Knowledge of SAM processes, ideally with experience implementing, operating, and enhancing SAM tools
- Experience in automating workflows and reports, e.g., with Power Automate, scripting, or comparable tools
- Ability to analyze license usage and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Ideally, experience managing SAP licenses, including license metering with the License Administration Workbench and knowledge of SAP license metrics and contractual conditions
