About the role

  • Operate and further develop the Software Asset Management (SAM) tool, and automate workflows and reports to increase efficiency
  • Advise internal stakeholders on Software Asset Management and support license inventories and audits
  • Analyze license usage and identify cost-saving and optimization opportunities
  • Manage the SAP license inventory, including ensuring proper measurement, assigning licenses, and coordinating license purchase activities
  • Advise SAP-using IT teams/products—particularly on selecting the appropriate licensing model—and optimize license costs and inventory, as well as define requirements for new SAP contracts
  • Support Service Managers in planning, managing, and billing license and maintenance fees

Requirements

  • Completed a 2‑year technical college qualification or at least a 3‑year vocational training, or equivalent qualifications obtained by other means, possibly with additional specialized training
  • Knowledge of SAM processes, ideally with experience implementing, operating, and evolving SAM tools
  • Experience automating workflows and reports, e.g., with Power Automate, scripting, or comparable tools
  • Ability to analyze license usage and identify potential cost savings
  • Preferably experience in managing SAP licenses, including license measurement with the License Administration Workbench (LAW), and familiarity with SAP license metrics and contract terms
