About the role
- Operate and further develop the Software Asset Management (SAM) tool and automate workflows and reports to increase efficiency
- Advise internal customers on software asset management and support license inventories and audits
- Analyze license usage and identify opportunities for cost savings and optimization
- Manage the SAP license portfolio, including ensuring proper license measurement, assigning licenses and coordinating license purchase activities
- Advise SAP-using IT teams/products—particularly on selecting the appropriate licensing model, optimizing license costs and inventory, and defining requirements for new SAP contracts
- Support service managers in planning, managing and invoicing license and maintenance fees
Requirements
- Completed two‑year technical college education or at least a three‑year vocational training, or equivalent qualifications obtained through additional specialized training or other routes
- Knowledge of SAM processes, ideally with experience implementing, operating and enhancing SAM tools
- Experience automating workflows and reports, e.g., with Power Automate, scripting or comparable tools
- Ability to analyze license usage and identify cost‑saving opportunities
- Preferably experience managing SAP licenses, including license measurement using the License Administration Workbench (LAW), and familiarity with SAP license metrics and contractual conditions
