About the role
- Operate and further develop the Software Asset Management (SAM) tool and automate workflows and reports to increase efficiency
- Advise internal customers on Software Asset Management and support with license inventories and audits
- Analyze license usage and identify cost-saving and optimization opportunities
- Manage the SAP license portfolio, including ensuring correct measurement, assigning licenses, and orchestrating license purchase activities
- Advise SAP-using IT areas/products primarily on selecting appropriate licensing, optimizing license costs and inventory, and defining requirements for new SAP contracts
- Support Service Managers in planning, administering, and charging for license and maintenance fees
Requirements
- Completed 2-year technical college education or at least 3-year vocational training plus additional specialized training, or equivalent experience obtained by other means
- Knowledge of SAM processes, ideally with experience implementing, operating, and enhancing SAM tools
- Experience automating workflows and reports, e.g., with Power Automate, scripting, or comparable tools
- Ability to analyze license usage and identify cost-saving potential
- Ideally experience managing SAP licenses, including license measurement with the License Administration Workbench and knowledge of SAP licensing metrics and contract terms
