About the role
- Design and build the People & Culture practices
- Develop and lead HR strategy across the business
- Champion a high-performance culture rooted in trust, autonomy, and accountability
- Build a scalable HR infrastructure, including policies, systems, HRIS (we use BambooHR), and processes
- Design and implement the blueprint for our internship program
- Partner with managers to improve team performance, coaching, and growth
- Lead DEIB initiatives and ensure inclusive, progressive workplace practices
- Own the employee lifecycle journey — from onboarding to exit and everything in between
- Run employee surveys, feedback loops, and culture diagnostics
- Drive employer branding efforts to attract and retain top talent
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and best HR practices
- Support recruitment, performance reviews, and leadership development
Requirements
- 3+ years in a People Partner / HRBP / People & Culture role in a high-growth environment
- Proven experience building or scaling HR teams or functions
- Strong understanding of South African labour law
- High EQ and business acumen — you get people, and you get strategy
- Track record of leading culture change or building award-winning teams
- You’re a builder, not a babysitter. You like starting things and making them great.
