About the role
- Prepare and execute the transformation of network security:
- Identify and assess opportunities
- Develop strategies
- Design technical solutions and integration plans
- Train Delivery and Operations teams and prepare them to take over ongoing support
- Install, configure, secure, and maintain network security infrastructure
- Design and implement network security solutions and provide troubleshooting
- Assist in resolving network security issues as needed
- Stay current on threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices
- Research and evaluate new IT technologies related to network security
- Assess security infrastructure
- Act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor in network security
- Produce high-quality documentation: manuals, decision records, standards and procedures, etc.
- Provide third-level support for troubleshooting complex, multi-technology security incidents
Requirements
- Bilingual (French and English)
- Strong experience designing and implementing network security solutions or environments
- Strong experience deploying and supporting the following devices: firewall technologies (Fortinet FortiGate NGFW, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA and Firepower)
- Remote access VPN solutions and troubleshooting (implementation and administration) to ensure secure connectivity
- Design and evolution of perimeter network security architectures
- Research on emerging threats, evaluate and recommend solutions to mitigate them
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align technology improvements with business objectives
- University degree with a major in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- At least eight years of relevant experience in network security design and support
- IT security certifications are an asset (Fortinet NSE4 or higher, Palo Alto PCNSE, CISSP, Cisco)
