About the role
- Preparing financial reports, journal entries, account reconciliation and analysis, and financial projects
- Supports Treasury Management duties including monitoring daily cash availability, managing Treasury Management requests, reviewing and transmitting wire transfers, and reviewing and approving accounts payable
- Serves as a project-focused resource by initiating, preparing, reviewing, and revising projects prior to submission to the Supervisor
- Supports month-end procedures, interest statement preparation, performing cascades within the system, recording cash activity, and Surplus Cash reporting
- Supports the Accounting Department by performing or directing authorized accounting functions necessary to ensure effective operations and fulfilling other duties as assigned by Accounting Management
- Shows initiative and flexibility by going above and beyond standard responsibilities to assist with special projects when needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related field
- Minimum of one year of accounting or relevant professional work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with accounting software preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a high attention to detail
- Ability to accurately compile and calculate financial data, including totals, percentages, and variances.
