Lead and support Canadian Sales Tax engagements, including GST/HST, QST, and PST overpayment reviews.
Conduct tax research, analyze client data, and prepare documentation.
Draft refund requests and negotiate with auditors during processing and appeals.
Prepare client updates and reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
Identify and analyze potential opportunities with prospective clients.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field required.
CPA designation (CGA, CMA, CA) preferred.
4–5 years of professional experience in Canadian Sales Tax or Canadian indirect tax; 1+ years of experience in a mentoring role preferred.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.) and analytical tools preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills and effective verbal and written communication.
Proven initiative and adaptability in dynamic client environments.
High attention to detail in documentation and data validation.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
