About the role
- Lead the delivery, optimization and continuous improvement of HR Operations services across Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Singapore and India.
- Represent the APAC region within the Global HR Operations Leadership Team.
- Act as a regional point of escalation for complex HR Operations queries and manage issue resolution.
- Lead and coach the APAC HR Operations team.
- Oversee end to end payroll operations across multiple APAC jurisdictions.
- Partner with Local HR Business Partners, COEs, HR Technology, Business Leaders, and external vendors.
- Lead the full RFP process for the region’s new payroll system.
- Drive the multi‑year implementation of the new payroll solution across APAC.
- Ensure implementation and maintenance of standard operating procedures across the region.
Requirements
- A minimum of four to five years of experience in HR Operations, HR Shared Services, or broad HR Administration with regional responsibilities across the APAC region.
- Working knowledge of employment legislation in at least four of the following: Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Singapore, or India.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing HR Shared Services/HR Operations teams and directly managing a Payroll Manager or similar role.
- Experience running an RFP process for HR or payroll technologies
- Project management experience in full life-cycle HR transformation or systems implementation.
- Hands-on experience using one or more modern HRIS platforms, ideally Oracle HCM Cloud, Workday, or SAP SuccessFactors.
- Proficiency with a case management system such as ServiceNow or Zendesk, and experience managing SLA-based service models.
- Experience working with virtual or geographically dispersed teams.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational and time management skills.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate across a matrixed organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities across different time zones.
- Familiarity with the cultural and business norms across APAC countries.
