About the role

  • Build a global sales organization: develop and implement a global portfolio sales structure, including defining responsibilities of individual sales staff, reporting and performance management.
  • New business and revenue responsibility: responsible for national and international new customer acquisition and for expanding sales relationships with designated existing customers to increase revenue.
  • Sales process management: ensure optimal customer engagement and handling of customer inquiries throughout the entire customer journey.
  • Manage the complete sales process from lead generation and qualification to proposal creation and after‑sales service.
  • Customer care: maintain long-term customer relationships through regular contact and comprehensive sales support.
  • Interface management: act as the central interface between customers and internal service departments such as the trade fair team, marketing, IT and press.
  • Strategic leadership: develop and implement global sales strategies for our trade fair portfolio.
  • Market analysis: identify growth potential and new business opportunities in global markets.
  • Trade fair and conference participation: actively represent the company at trade fairs and conferences to build contacts and expand our network.
  • Team leadership: lead and motivate an international sales team.

Requirements

  • Degree in Business, Marketing or Agricultural Sciences — or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of experience in international sales, ideally in trade fair or event management.
  • Experience building and leading agile, international sales structures.
  • Strong understanding of the agriculture and food sector and a high affinity for international markets.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills combined with intercultural competence.
  • Fluent German and English skills; additional languages are an advantage.
  • High level of initiative, goal orientation and strategic thinking.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
