• Assist All Elements of Routine Projects (90%)
• Project Coordination Collaborate with the Project Manager to oversee project schedules, track milestones, and manage workflow to ensure timely delivery of project phases.
• Act as a liaison between internal teams, clients, and contractors to facilitate seamless communication and resolve issues promptly.

Assistant Project Manager – MEP Design

Manager

• The Senior MEP Construction Manager I (Senior MCMI) serves as a senior technical leader and the contractor and/or owner’s primary point-of-contact and onsite advocate throughout all project phases - from pre-construction through turnover and closeout.
• This position ensures that the facility’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, controls, and supporting building systems are strategically planned, designed, procured, installed, integrated, commissioned, and documented to meet or exceed the owner’s requirements for scope, schedule, budget, operability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Lead field coordination and construction administration for MEP and building systems, ensuring installation quality, safety, and commissioning readiness.
• Manage multiple simultaneous projects or programs through delegation and oversight of field teams and consultants.
• Oversee cost tracking, change management, and schedule performance using industry-standard platforms (e.g., Procore, BIM 360, MS Project).

Senior MEP Construction Manager – Heavy Travel

Payroll

• Lead and mentor a remote payroll team, fostering professional growth and maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
• Ensure the accurate and timely payment of all employees while maintaining 100% compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Manage the registration of new state and local tax accounts in Rippling as the company hires in new jurisdictions.
• Navigate state-specific payroll mandates, including "Convenience of the Employer" rules, reciprocity agreements, and mandatory remote-work stipends or disability programs (PFL/SDI).
• Partner with the Assistant Controller to reconcile bi-weekly payroll runs against the General Ledger in Deltek Vantagepoint.
• Manage the year-end process, including W-2/W-2c generation and accurate reporting of taxable fringe benefits.
• Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors regarding payroll, workers’ compensation, and 401(k) plan audits.
• Own the 401(k) compliance cycle, including ADP/ACP, 415(c), and Top-Heavy testing.

Payroll Manager

• Perform On-site Commissioning Activities and Manage Projects (50%)
• On-site inspection, validation, functional testing, verification and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical and controls equipment
• Participate in factory witness testing and observe startup activities
• Use technical equipment to perform testing
• Direct vendors / contractors in the execution of the testing
• Develop proposals including project scope, schedule and budget; generally, seek supervisory input before sending to client

Commissioning Field Manager I

• Support the owner’s and/or contractor’s on-site commissioning activities, helping to ensure work aligns with project quality standards, the commissioning plan, and client expectations
• Assist in identifying and communicating potential risks, schedule impacts, or commissioning concerns to senior staff for timely resolution
• Participate in coordination among the owner, design team, contractors, equipment vendors, commissioning agents, and trade partners to maintain alignment with commissioning requirements
• Support project management and compliance efforts by helping track documentation, clarifying scope questions, and escalating issues appropriately
• Assist in organizing and coordinating commissioning activities such as pre-functional checklists, functional performance tests, integrated systems testing, and final acceptance
• Perform field-level tasks - including inspections, documentation, issue tracking, and test witnessing - under the direction of senior commissioning or construction management staff
• Help verify that commissioning documentation, punch lists, and test results are accurate and complete prior to project turnover
• Assist in validating that all systems are fully commissioned, operational, and meet owner requirements
• Drive early issue resolution to prevent delays in project closeout and operational handoff
• Prepare and distribute regular commissioning progress updates under the guidance of senior staff
• Help monitor issue logs, track non-conformances through closure, and assist in generating metrics and summaries to communicate commissioning progress and compliance.
