About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- This position is in DLB’s Mission Critical Department focusing primarily on hyperscale data centers and related mission critical facilities.
- Collaborate with senior design staff to advance electrical design skills.
- Work as part of the Engineering Team and interact closely with the Project Management Team.
- Produce construction documents, develop and edit project specifications, and assist in the construction administration process.
- Review and write basic sequence of operations.
- Prepare project design and construction documents.
- Work as part of the engineering team and interact closely with the project management team.
- Review shop drawings and submittals, respond to RFIs, and complete punch lists and project closeout documents.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in electrical from ABET accredited institution, with a sound knowledge of engineering fundamentals
- Minimum of three years of electrical engineering experience
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of electrical systems found in buildings including single/three phase power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, grounding and life safety systems
- Knowledge of codes and specifications for the design of electrical systems including National Electric Code, Life Safety and Energy Conservation Codes
- Knowledge of technical / design software including short circuit coordination and arc flash studies, equipment sizing and lighting calculations
- Skilled at producing drawings and visual aids using AutoCAD and Revit
- Skilled at using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), along with exceptional organizational skills for file management
- Skilled in performing code analysis including selection of equipment, wiring, etc. to meet code requirements
