About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

This position is in DLB’s Mission Critical Department focusing primarily on hyperscale data centers and related mission critical facilities.
Collaborate with senior design staff to advance electrical design skills.
Work as part of the Engineering Team and interact closely with the Project Management Team.
Produce construction documents, develop and edit project specifications, and assist in the construction administration process.
Review and write basic sequence of operations.
Prepare project design and construction documents.
Work as part of the engineering team and interact closely with the project management team.
Review shop drawings and submittals, respond to RFIs, and complete punch lists and project closeout documents.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in electrical from ABET accredited institution, with a sound knowledge of engineering fundamentals
Minimum of three years of electrical engineering experience
Knowledge of the fundamentals of electrical systems found in buildings including single/three phase power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, grounding and life safety systems
Knowledge of codes and specifications for the design of electrical systems including National Electric Code, Life Safety and Energy Conservation Codes
Knowledge of technical / design software including short circuit coordination and arc flash studies, equipment sizing and lighting calculations
Skilled at producing drawings and visual aids using AutoCAD and Revit
Skilled at using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), along with exceptional organizational skills for file management
Skilled in performing code analysis including selection of equipment, wiring, etc. to meet code requirements
