About the role
- Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer lifecycle, partnering closely with Sales and internal teams to design and position scalable infrastructure solutions.
- Translate customer business requirements into technical solutions that leverage Digital Realty’s data center, colocation, and interconnection capabilities, ensuring a seamless experience from discovery through deployment.
- Partner with Sales to support customer engagements, including discovery sessions, technical presentations, and solution positioning.
- Design and recommend data center, colocation, interconnection, and hybrid infrastructure solutions aligned to customer needs.
- Lead technical discussions, RFP/RFI responses, and solution proposals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, operations, and delivery teams to ensure solution feasibility and successful implementation.
- Support pricing inputs, scope definition, and statement-of-work development.
- Provide technical guidance during customer tours, workshops, and solution reviews.
- Stay current on industry trends, cloud connectivity, and digital infrastructure technologies.
Requirements
- Experience in a pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting role
- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, networking, cloud connectivity, or hybrid IT environments
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value
- Experience supporting enterprise or strategic customer engagements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
