About the role

  • Independently performs general accounting activities for the monthly financial statement close, bi-weekly forecast, and annual budget processes.
  • Conducts pertinent investigation of assigned accounts; understands and communicates causes of variances between actual, forecasted, budgeted and last year results.
  • Effectively collaborates with cross-functional business partners to source relevant data needed, understand business drivers that cause variances to expectations, size future financial risks and opportunities and communicate the results of financial analyses.
  • Drive process and productivity improvements within Accounting, to liberate time for reinvestment in analytics and business support.
  • Leverage existing systems and new solutions such as Alteryx and UI Path.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • CPA a plus
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience
  • PeopleSoft and Hyperion a plus
  • Advanced Excel a plus
